Captcha Crypto Scam. Confirm That You Are Not a Robot

⚠️ Warning! New Crypto Scam Alert – Stay Safe! 🛡️

A new scam scheme has been discovered — and it’s already gaining momentum 🚨

The main target: users exploring new tokens (shitcoins), especially through DEXs and aggregators, where project descriptions often include a link to the project’s website 🔗

🧨 How the Scam Works:

  1. A user visits the token’s website and sees a CAPTCHA form
  2. It looks like a normal “I’m not a robot” check – nothing suspicious at first glance
  3. But once you click the CAPTCHA, a file is automatically downloaded
  4. The browser silently starts downloading a .exe file or something similar — usually disguised under an innocent-looking name
  5. At the same moment, a malicious script is placed into your clipboard
    • The user thinks they’ve copied something useful, but the clipboard now contains dangerous code
  6. Then, a pop-up appears with a “verification instruction”
    • It tells you to paste the code and press a specific key combination — allegedly to confirm your identity or pass final KYC
  7. The moment you do that — the wallet draining starts
    • The script activates, and the scammers gain access to all assets not protected by a hardware wallet
    • Your crypto is instantly gone

💻 Vulnerable Devices:

  • Windows users are at high risk – most malicious scripts are designed for this OS
  • macOS is safer, but not invincible – attackers can adapt anytime

🛡️ How to Protect Yourself:

  • Disable auto-downloads in your browser settings
  • Never run files downloaded without your permission
  • Don’t paste or run commands from sketchy sites – even if it looks “official”
  • Use antivirus software and browser blockers (like uBlock Origin)
  • Store large amounts in hardware wallets only

🧠 Remember:

If a token website asks you to solve a CAPTCHA, downloads a file, and then instructs you to press buttons or run code — it’s almost certainly a scam.
⚠️ Don’t fall for fake verifications, CAPTCHAs, or KYC requests on shady platforms. These tactics are widely used in wallet-draining attacks.

Stay safe out there! 🧠🧤💪
